It’s the feeling of strangeness.

                                                                                 It is deep and numb. 

                                                                It is there for no reason. Nothing strange has happened today. 

                                                                    It was just a good day. 

                                                                       But a word or two here and there may have sounded strong. 

                                                                    And they had made me slow down to carefully take them in. 

                                                          And so they stayed. 

                                                                            They sunk inside. 

                                                                 Now they are not words anymore. 

                                                                    They are that feeling of strangeness. 

                                                                             It is quite curious. 

                                                                             It is not enjoyable. 

                                                                             It is not problematic. 

                                                                             It is just there with its odd neutrality.

                                                                  So I just sit and wonder what to do with it. 

                                                                      What do you do with a strange feeling? 

                                                                                       You just carry it around till it’s gone. 

                                                 It goes away quietly. It dissolves into you.

                                                                    With other feelings you smile, cry, scream, run, dance

                                                                                    …but with this one you don't do any of these things.
